Eco Council

Welcome to the Eco Council page! 

The Eco-Schools program is an international initiative that encourages pupils to take part in environmental issues and sustainable development. It offers a highly structured system for environmental management of schools focusing on Litter, Waste Reduction, Transport, Healthy Living, Energy, Water, School Grounds and Global Citizenship.

As a school we encourage Ysgol Sustrans healthy journeys to school whether walking, cycling or scootering. We have specific shelters at the back of the school for storing bikes/scooters. The national Stroll and Roll and Walk to School campaign is held regularly.

The group's objectives are to empower and inspire our pupils to make positive environmental changes to the school and the wider community in Dyffryn Peris.
